The weather today was fantastic for late December.

I wonder if the fireworks will be cancelled tonight. Just got this warning from PSE:

It was discussed as a distinct possibility this morning on the local news.

Not sure what diehards will be out there to watch! It's pretty cold and nasty out there today!

Have you even been outside? Not cold. It's above 50 degrees. It's just rainy, but it's expected to dry out later and a temperature of 53 at midnight in late December. This is warmer than anywhere outside of Florida, Hawaii and California.

Yes… OK maybe it’s not cold compared to freezing places… But we have a farm down here with horses, goats and sheep that need to be taken care of in the rain, wind and mud. I think I’m allowed to say it’s rainy, windy and nasty out right now and going to stand in the rain and wind at Seattle center to watch fireworks doesn’t sound like a whole lot o’ fun! But you have at it! I bet relatively speaking it will be easy to find places to park.

Some of our worst storms are often actually quite temperate. Our so-called “pineapple expresses” are warm.

Cold is a -20 windchill. 40-50 degrees is still t-shirt weather with maybe a light flannel or rain jacket on top when raining.

Spent New Years Eve along the Oregon coast yesterday. Had some amazing winter conditions.
