PNW Beats California for you too?

. Seems to be a trend (since 1960s).

Many ex-coworkers from CA are enjoying their prop 13 Los Altos hills homes during retirement, and their PNW summer homes for windsurfing and kite boarding.

Win : win for them. The long term PNW residents get to work and extra week / month to cover our new CA property valuations.

Our public and state schools are very happy about that!

Enjoy the sunshine you brought to our lives!

Thanks, Andy. Here's a few from today's drive to the coast. Although not as clear as yesterday, there were some nice bands of light coming through.

Just wait, we still have April coming, and I remember one year that we had 40 straight days of rain from late March into April. I also remember two different years that we had snow in April on the eastside.

Seriously, it will most likely be near non-stop rain until early April.

Nice day for a paddle - no wind and sunny most of the day.

My motto since moving from SLC 5 years ago is, “Don’t have to shovel rain.”

I’ll gladly live with the Seattle gloom, 40 straight days of rain, and the occasional snow week as long as there aren’t any storms that drop 2 or 3 feet of snow in my yard.

Haha, I hear ya, Beernik. After living in CO a mile high with multiple large snow dumps, blizzards and many other days of snow flurries annually, this is very mild weather by comparison. During this winter's last big snow warning, there was so much hype we actually bought a shovel. But it was never needed and still has the stickers on it. Maybe we'll use it another year, but this winter is too warm to snow now or in the foreseeable future (40s/50s). Good paddling weather though.
