Monday marks the deadline for residents of Washington state registering to vote online. But this isn’t the last chance for voters to register.

This year, for the first time, people can register in person at voting centers right through election day, November 5.

And if you’re registering in person, you don't need a state ID, or even a home address, to do that.

Thanks for the heads up- I assume this is how that horrid Sawant plans on trying to win. I'll call whoever the R and moderate D group is up there to look out for fraud.

Everyone should at least have state ID to register - and vote.

Residency is fair also, IMO.

Poll taxes are illegal, so you must be happy to pay for free IDs for people then.

IMO, requiring ID is not a poll tax.

ID is needed for so many things today.

Someone who cannot afford a DL or state ID card is a dysfunctional idiot.

Dysfunctional idiots are still allowed to vote. Some of them even manage to get themselves elected.

Indeed.

But verification of WHO a person is, is needed.

It's bad enough that dead people vote.

SCOTUS disagrees with your opinion.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harp...d_of_Elections

“In a 6 to 3 vote, the Court ruled in favor of Ms. Harper. The Court noted that "a state violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution whenever it makes the affluence of the voter or payment of any fee an electoral standard. Voter qualifications have no relation to wealth."

I'm aware of the USSC ruling.

Affluence is not being able to buy a measly state ID card? Valid for 7 years?

I did when I was a teen.

Anyone who cannot or will not is a dysfunctional loser.

We need to know who is who.

There is enough corruption already.
