When I came home from Arizona I thought I might finally get some peace and quiet in the neighborhood due to the "stay at home" order.

I guess when your rich orders from the Governor are merely "suggestions". Been here two weeks and the second home owners run over to King and Snohomish County for a couple of days and then drive back here for three or four days for their "vacation".

I am sure infecting people in grocery stores, gas stations, rest stops, and along places along the way.

I did call the Governor's office last week and they said they are aware of the problem. So far, Governor Inslee has done NOTHING. I guess if you give enough money to political campaigns that gives you the right to infect the poor working folks.

Anyway, call the Governor's office and ask HIM to spare rural areas the worst of the pandemic, by stopping this dangerous travel from the start of the virus outbreak to the rural areas of Washington state.

I don't think the terms of service allow the posting of phone numbers, but it is in the white pages of the phone book under government offices.

Be prepared to be put on hold....but hang in there. Make sure Governor Inslee hears the message that just because your rich that doesn't give you the right to INFECT me just so rich folks can enjoy their second homes during this health crises.
Back in February Seattle was 1 of several airports letting in wealthy people from China. I honestly think that this and the cruise ship passengers ( hate to rag on them because many of those folks were wanting to have a good time) may have contributed to the virus being brought here.

I saw a video on YouTube where famous people were asking us to stay home. I laughed out loud. Really easy to be so short sighted when you have large land and gardens, home spas, a tennis court, large TV, nice amenities and people that will go out for you if you need things.

I feel like the situation is exposing the gap in income inequality. Staying at home is also far different if you have roommates. Even for an introvert like me my room is beginning to feel like prison. I still take my walks but I live here in WA state so weather is nice half the time. So sometimes I have a choice of staying home or taking a walk in weather that may be cold. I don't mind the weather here as I think the midwest and upstate NY are worse. It doesn't help that there's no place to go.

I'm a home health nurse so I am still working. I can't imagine how sane I would be without work.

Seattle's cruise ship season doesn't start until April (usually!) so I believe it was a contributing factor for WA.

As others have sort of alluded to, this argument makes no sense. If someone owns a 2nd home in another more rural place- that is also their residence. They have as much right to be there as you do, since you are both homeowners in that community.

Yes, for a person with more than one home, they are staying home at either one.

I am currently hearing crickets.

As one who actually owns several homes and is very far from being rich.
I’m just a dude that plans ahead.
I actually work with my hands.
Do you?

I find your rant rather disturbing.

I mean if you were a local guy without a place in another state you might have a point,
But your Kung Fu is weak.

I find it rather alarming that you are trying to shame me and people that are in similar situations.

G’Day!
