Kudos to Inslee for doing the right thing here and saving lives. I have a new-found respect for the man.
The demonstrators in Olympia beg to differ.

They've changed the goal posts! It used to be "flatten the curve", and now it's essentially eradicate the virus.

I'm doubtful this will be successful without restricting interstate travel.

Exactly! Most states have met the bend the curve standard. Waiting until there's a vaccine, IF there's a vaccine that's ready for public consumption in a year or so is not realistic.
YET there are people cheering for extended lockdowns. I guess they're independently wealthy or have a job that will never go away?

I just visited some local garden shop's site just for kicks and they all have rules to how many can be in the shop at once and you have to set an appointment time to shop. So this is why my store's garden section which has ZERO rules in place to the amount of people in the store has been crashed like Black Friday everyday. We require no masks like Costco, we do not count the amount of people let in, customers want to be served and if they want to walk right up to you be dammed you better help.

Lowes is milking it for all its worth and the local governing agencies are not even looking. Garden shops are open and set to provide safe shopping for workers and shoppers with clear policies. Lowes-- well if you die you die.

I really should get another freaking job but what is out there. I can't get laid off, no one has lost an hour of work so there is no way to lose my job.

I read in my local paper that Inslee is loosing up some counties by stages. Jefferson county (32K) is on the short list and Clallam (77K) is not....I find that interesting.
Jefferson county has half the population and a third more cases of the Wuhan virus...28-18, both counties recovery rate is very high, out of 18 Clallam case 13 have reported recover and out of 28 cases in Jefferson county 26 have recovered. The last few cases in Clallam county have been a result of morons visiting King county and bringing it back. No cases have been reported hospitalized in Clallam county...I heard one case in Jefferson county was transfer to a Seattle hospital and died.
Is this loosing up Jefferson county (strongly liberal) and keeping Clallam county (leans right) locked down a result of political bias?

Go ahead and complain about Seattle but King County sends $3 billion a year to 33 other counties. And apparently Yakima county has the highest rate.

"The highest rate of coronavirus cases of any county on the U.S. West Coast is in Washington state’s Yakima County.

Health experts point to a large number of essential workers, a large number of cases in long-term care facilities and a large agricultural workforce living and working in close quarters as the causes. The county has about 250,000 residents."

Seacove, I understand your long running theme on king co supporting other areas but my gawd isn’t that what state government is all about? Perhaps we should split up the state to make your argument more cohesive. Man get off this! We are in this together. Chill.

We weren't all in this together when the rest of the state was attacking Seattle for funding their own mass transit. The rest of the state was sure they were paying and couldn't wait to attack Seattle. Then it came out that they were not paying for Seattle's mass transit, but Seattle was sending them $3 billion a year. Suddenly their entire tone changed to "we're all in this together!". Amazing and even now, they are attacking Inslee while their own counties are being overrun with Covid patients.

And Trump went from no deaths to maybe there’ll be 100k.
