This is getting really old. All that time to gather weapons and hatch a plan. Why not just get a job, instead?

It’s almost as if no consequences at all for repeatedly breaking laws is having the impact of creating more crime? Crazy huh? Who would have thought no consequences would embolden people to violate laws? What happens when in spreads more and more as we continue down that slippery slope? Clearly there are two sets of rules in play, they depend on your reasons for breaking the law and of the media and one party agrees with them....if they do then “by any means necessary”. If they are not aligned with you, that is the only time you will see outrage from them.

There should be no acceptable reasons to tolerate violence, crime, assault, theft, looting, arson, etc....but I’m sure there will be a rush to make excuses for them.

My God.

In any year prior to 2020 this would have been national news.

Where is this going?

I need to move out this state.

This is the counties' fault. If a county wants to build and house homeless that is fine, but buying out hotels for this purpose and has obviously given people the idea that they can just walk into any operating business and force the issue on the county. What is next: Will they occupy Starbucks and demand coffee and a snack? Will they take over Target and demand their free hygiene materials.... soap, toilet paper, shampoo.. why not throw in some Goodfellow undies, socks, shirts, pants, shoes... and maybe a few gadgets while we're at it....

This is criminal mob antiestablishment rioting that really has nothing to do with helping the homeless. These young antifa/anarchist activists are using the homeless as props to create mayhem, not to help them... A group of troublemakers goes into a homeless camp and says "Hey everyone... want to go take over a hotel? We can get you a hot shower and a bed for awhile" They say sure... they have nothing to lose.

We are watching a terrible social experiment taking place. I have to hope that this is the bad part before everybody wises up and fixes it in the second act... but…. Some days it’s hard to have hope for our cities.

Just as they hijacked the black lives matter movement (meaning black lives not "BLM" which is a commie propaganda group) and made a horrid mockery out of what was a really moving and important time for black communities.

Truly nasty people.

Does Olympia have a better plan for where the homeless can live?

I see this as more of an attempt to get attention for this pressing social issue than actually trying to use the hotel as stable accommodations for these people.

Buying out hotels to house homeless people leads to that? Nah.

Pretty much. They were "taught" that they could get away with whatever they wanted if they threw a big enough tantrum. The people in power were like indulgent parents that didn't believe in consequences. Is it any wonder it's come to this?

Getting a job can be close to impossible if you're homeless.
