That Kaiser thing is a biggie but we bought here anyways.
I still have to figure that out.
Lots of smaller and a few medium sized medical centers but no Kaiser.
The other items on your list are here though.
Sequim is alright but just a bit out of town is where it’s at (for me anyways).
I say the people are friendly but am constantly told I’m wrong .

We had the opposite happen when we moved here. The Kaisers in Vancouver and Portland are nice and generally well ratings. Unfortunately, my company didn't offer Kaiser insurance in the PNW. However, after a recent split, the new company we merged with just offered us Kaiser for the first time. So, we're signed up for next year and looking forward to it vs. Blue Cross/Blue Shield we've had forever.

In terms of the weather, it has been raining pretty much non-stop here all day. It's supposed to be clearing starting tomorrow and through the weekend!! So, I'm looking forward to that.

Derek

Weather this morning is grey and a little damp.

Our creek flooding is probably down a little bit which means the Chehalis is coming down.

I picked up my cousin at SeaTac yesterday at noon.
Rain started there and followed us all the way home.
They are from Islamorada in Florida and say it’s chilly here while I walk around liking it.

Today is looking real nice.
40f, no wind and mostly blue sky’s.

Typical trade off things but I dig it .
Interesting...What do people take for granted that isn't here in the Dungeness valley. I live in Sequim and I have found everything a person actually needs here in this area. Plenty of outdoor activities from hiking to golf, etc. All the popular stores from Wal Mart/Costco to local stores. Without the parking hassle of larger populated areas like Silverdale. OMC and Jamestown which provides the medical needs of most people.
Sequim is ideal for most retirees and even young families who have children in some very good schools.

That’s a very nice picture rantiquity.

I really like it up here.
There is a lot to like.
My favorite items are being close to nature and the weather.
Weather wise it’s like natural air conditioning to me.

There are a few things that I do miss.
Not complaining just stating a fact.

I miss,
Fresh baked goods and donuts that aren’t a day old. I love me a fresh donut .
A good old school deli.
Fresh produce.
A restaurant zone filled with tasty little bistros…yeah I’m a spoiled female dog.
A town open after 8:30pm on Saturday but I don’t really care about that.
A large medical center like Kaiser.

On the other hand… the things I like about the area far out weight my mostly trivial list.

Cheers.
Andy.

You're going to love Kaiser. I think for people with conditions that require a super specialist, Kaiser is not always the best, but in terms of convenience and general value it can't be beat. We have young kids and have called the 24/hr nurse hotline soooooo many times. If it's urgent we can get an appt within 24 hours, even on a Sunday. I had two babies with Kaiser and never even got a bill! We had to switch to Cigna for a year because hubby's new job didn't have Kaiser (they do now) and having to make a whole "profile" with every provider and make appts days-weeks out in advance, then battle the whole copay breakdown and percentages...we missed Kaiser so much. It's actually been a factor in our decision to [likely] stay west since they don't have Kaiser in the eastern states we looked at.

We had cloudy skies and low 50s most of the day with some sun in toward sunset. It was nice to see it come out and light everything up.

Look for providers that use Harrison in Bremerton. It has been noted as a top hospital for small towns.

37 yrs and kaiser is out for me. They just no longer put patient care as a priority. Haven't been able to see my primary in 3 years (too busy).

The boot camp Drs. type your condition into the company it spits out a generic care plan based on Data base. If it doesn't work, "sorry... Go find a medical professional, as we can't help you any more at Kaiser". Thus was my message this week, after 8 wks of serious pain waiting for an appointment. My alloted 12 min with Dr, resulted in no assistance. "We don't know what's wrong with you, as those conditions don't populate in our system."

3rd serious snafu for me this yr. Son had to leave Kaiser after waiting 8 months for knee surgery. Rebound Ortho diagnosed and scheduled critical surgery in 3 days.

Like the weather, Kaiser NW has changed significantly.

Foggy this morning but it’s clear above. 37 degrees. I think this will burn off and there will be more sun breaks than our forecast predicts. Should be a dry weekend!
