Our two outside faucets are winter-proof, with the actual closing valve being 18" inside under the house. You do have to remove the hose for them to drain, and I still cover them just to be safe. According to the news we could hit the teens, and here at 600' we have gotten as low as 10F in past years. I also have to unplug the waterfall in the pond, it's funny to see the goldfish under 2-3" of ice.

Well for the moment this morning it’s nice and bright :-) Sun shining through a rain shower.

It’s turning out to be a gorgeous day.
No wind, 40 degrees and clouds are coming and going.

Here is the deal. I grew up and spent my first 30 years in Seattle. Can Seattle get heavy snow? Absolutely. Not to repeat an earlier post, but ‘68 was one for the record books. I think ‘71 was also quite amazing but didn’t equal ‘68. The average snowfall is about 5 inches but you have to account for some heavy snow winters with no snow winters. Total crapshoot! This incoming doesn’t show a lot of preciptation.

Beautiful pics!

Just a trace of snow this morning at first light. Lightly snowing again now as I type this. Not sure how much will stick, I think it is supposed to warm up today before seriously cooling down tonight and next week.

Will give our animals their breakfast in the barn anyway :-)

Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas all.
We didn’t wake up to a white Christmas here.
It’s 32 degrees and the clouds are dropping fast so who knows if we will get some snow today.
Before the clouds dropped I saw snow on the close by hills.

Oh well maybe one day I will wake up to a white Christmas.

A very light touch of snow this morning here in Sequim. Had to look twice but yes it was snow.

While we don't have snow yet in Vancouver, it is forecasted to hit tonight. Meanwhile my buddy in BHam is enjoying a white Christmas.
