We got a few new inches overnight… Probably still between nine and 11 inches of accumulation. Still not getting out our private road, and no where we really need to go anyway! Expecting more snow on Thursday.

Probably good for anyone coming from snowier areas to accept that in Western Washington you won’t have rapid snow clearing response after an event like this and you have to be flexible enough to stay home when it’s like this :-)

Picture current weather as of 10 o’clock of our lower property… Second one of our truck… from first light this morning.

We received a couple of inches last night.
I’m not sure but I think we are at a good 9 or so inches.
The drifts are much larger.

We brought up our three dogs and they just love the snow.
Seeing yellow snow everywhere is kinda creepy though.

I have to shovel snow today and install a handrail on a deck area for my insurance company.
Every year they always want something.
Is this common up here?
My CA insurance company hasn’t asked anything of me in 35 years.
I think I’m going to have the “talk” with them.

We finally made it over the passes to snow country over here in Sunriver. It's totally gorgeous out with the sun hitting the snow through the aspen and pine trees. East of the Cascades is sure a different climate than the west side.

Day four of our winter wonderland! Bright and sunny today, more snow expected tonight.

We are snowed in on our road still… From what I’m reading on Facebook the roads out there aren’t much better. Better to just stay home!

We are not seeing the extreme low temperatures that were predicted we are having mid 20s for lows. I don’t think we’ve seen any teens here locally.

We're in Sunriver toady near Bend where the high is a chilly 19 degrees. But the kids are having fun. We went sledding yesterday and going ice skating today. The roads to Vancouver are plowed and open even over the mountain passes and up the ski slopes. So, we're not snowed in. It's just slow and steady driving you need to plan accordingly for.

First view from this morning at the feeders.... We got more snow overnight and a little more expected for today. Still not melting off any time soon.

Second shot is from our drone yesterday, looking back at our homestead under beautiful blue skies, you can even see hubby standing there flying the drone if you zoom in.

It’s a lot warmer today.
Temps are 33 and the snow is melting in some areas.
Driving around I could see the micro climates easier.
Some areas had lots of snow some didn’t.

A couple days ago Sequim Bay was semi frozen/slushy for about a 1/4 mile out on the south side.
Today only about 20-30 yards.

I applied the brakes on the suv today and received a good 200lbs of snow zooming forward off my roof, down my windshield, off my hood and onto the road.
Sort of a mini white out of sorts that lasted a couple of seconds.
Oops.

I've heard of incidents where they'll ticket you if it goes the other way and hits or whites out someone behind you!

It's warming and melting off the trees today which I'm glad, because we may get some freezing rain kind of stuff, and that will be hell on trees if they're already loaded.

I was completely in the wrong on that and I own it.
I brought it up as a safety/danger warning.

Taken. Our truck still looks like the picture above of it. It hasn't moved since Christmas.

I used to love to drive in the snow.... when I was young! Still probably would if I thought we could get back up our road without chains, they're such a pain. Particularly when a lot of town is probably bare and wet by now.
