In addition to beautiful clouds today, we also had a colorful sunset for an overall great late spring day in Vancouver.

Nice pics Derek.
This is Protection Point Island off of Discovery Bay a few minutes ago just down the road.

This is obviously painful weather going on. 2.5 months of 95 percent gloom and doom weather when it should have been nice. Still have some hopes for July and August.

I know we are all different and like different things.

The wife, our dogs and I hiked for a couple hours on a public beach at the end of our road this morning.
To me it doesn’t get much better than this.
I think this is living large.

Even with out the access to any water these temps are perfect for walks and hiking and those places are plentiful.

The wife and I don’t really enjoy it warmer than 80 degrees and even then we prefer our 80 degree temp with an umbrella and beach service .

Yeah - I'm with you Andy... I love the overcast days. My only complaint is that the yard is growing out of control and it's too wet to mow.... and yes, that's also affecting hay production.

It's always something with people, right ?

Yep, this is great weather from my perspective. Before you know it, folks will be complaining about the heat *longing* for mild temps like this along with some rain. This has been a fantastic spring as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately, it will be coming to an end soon when looking at the long range forecast. I'm still hopeful this won't be our 'last' rain over summer. At least its forecasted to stay under 80 for the remainder of the month. So, that's some good news. But yeah, everything is going to dry out big time starting next week.

Love it or hate it, it's 58 degrees with a very dark sky. Looks like winter at 4 pm all day. Good news: not raining at the moment.

With this weather our darn lawn needs mowing all the time.
I just mowed 4 days ago and it needs it again.
I can only do so much with our mower and have to use the weed eater to get in the tight spots.
Using a weed eater has never been fun for me.
I have a flame thrower/weed burner thing I use for the burn pile I might try out.
That has to be more pleasant than that noisy weed eater.

Today we bought a few bags of wild flower seeds.
My luck this weather will dry up before the seeds take root.
I hope not because I really want more flowers and they weren’t giving these seeds away.

I hope this current wet weather lasts right up until 7/1, when crab season starts here .
Crab season is normally one of the best times of the year here.

I got rained on today while out paddling. But it felt good, a warm rain really. Then, we had some sun breaks off and on. I think today marks the last rain for the foreseeable future. Like Andy, I had purchased quite a bit of wildflower seeds and got most of them planted. But I still have more seeds to plant. I guess I'll have to start watering the yard soon. Here are some pics from today with a few sun breaks.

Even our goats (below) can't keep up with the grass. This is PERFECT grass growing weather.

Caution with weed burners. We used one on our gravel driveway, and something about the burning and charred weed remains was like a carbon BOOST! The greenery came back THRIVING!

Good luck on these!

Derek - Thanks for your pics as usual! Your yard probably wins the prize for being the most tidy, even with this rain.

Glad you still find time to get out and do fun things!
