Update evidently they are going to hold off bringing anyone out there until they get through the issues in the county cease and desist order so we may have won a reprieve :-)

The county issues are that they need to increase the size of the septic and well and put in a commercial kitchen. So not unsolvable with money. I’m still hopeful that the company will decide it’s just too hot and they’ll sell it and find somewhere else to go.

That is good to know. This is a classification of individuals with a high recidivism rate. There is no cure, only confinement.

Well, the webinar was not a useful exercise... They had scripts and only answered a few written questions of their choosing. Debriefing and talking next steps in the facebook group.

They are on hold though, on the Tenino house, until they resolve the issues with the county. There isn't anyone at the county who wants to help them resolve anything. We'll see how it goes.

With population only 1,958 in rural Tenino they surely thought it would be an easier sell than say, Lacey with 53,000 or Olympia with 56,000. Interesting that the petition to stop it has over 2600 signatures, more than the population.

These are uncurable people.
If by chance this would still make it through I would encourage the locals to organize and plaster pictures of ALL of their faces in every place legal to do this.
We have a freedom of information act with rights and we should use every bit of these rights.
I would also encourage all citizens to be legally armed.
These people should not be welcomed.
This just seems like a money grab for a few at our expense.

Why? small population, small police force.

It’s actually an unincorporated Thurston county between Tenino in Rochester. Some nights we’ve only got one deputy on duty in the area.

He needs to be on McNeil. It’s a big beautiful island. And most important, secure. Plenty of room for a whole subdivision of homes for guys like this. And cheaper!

On edit… oh! I read your post wrong! I thought you said it was better because it was a small town… not that they thought it would be better!

Yeah, they did probably think they could sneak it in, and no one would be the wiser.

I'm glad the area won a reprieve. Sadly, this is part of Inslee and Fergeson's plan to do this all over the state, in a "fair distribution" of the worst of the worst violent sex offenders into private company ran housing in each and every county in WA.

Yes, we've been following, the fight isn't over yet, and the resistance has expanded to include groups from other areas where similar homes are planned.

There is no group or movement in favor of this. This is a bad idea with no up side, we just need to make enough people aware of it to change Inslee's mind.
