When we travel from our house in Port Ludlow, we leave our kitty at a wonderful place near Olalla with the fun name of Sandbox Ranch Lodge. They take only cats and have them in large cages set around a big room. There's an enclosed play area and outdoor enclosures for a little fresh air. A TV is always on for noise and there's a bird in a cage to give them something to dream about. It's second best to our friend Nancy who cat-and-house-sat for 30 years in Oklahoma City.

So far all our traveling has consisted of driving south or going to the airport, so Olalla is convenient. If we go north, east or west, we'll need a closer place for our kitty. Do you know of any places up our way? Thanks.

Cindycat, I can't answer your specific question, but you might want to consider local veterinarian offices. My local one boards cats upstairs, for limited periods of time. Perhaps that idea might be worth investigating in your area?

Thanks. Our vet has a separate boarding facility on-site but they keep the cats in enclosed cages in a small room. You can pay extra if you want the cat to have time out in the room. I'll check with some other nearby vets. I'm still hoping to find something more like the Sandbox Ranch because it's so purrrrrrrfect.
