We are currently living in Las Vegas and heard that there are construction jobs in Washington.

We absolutely hate Vegas and can't wait to get out of here. Washington sounds perfect for us! We have 4 boys, 16, 15, 12, and 10 and enjoy the outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing, and riding our motocycles. And we would love to have any weather besides HOT! We prefer smaller towns as opposed to big cities but adapt to whatever needs to be done. Not much into culture, just down home folks into hanging with family and friends.

My question is which is the best part of the state for construction right now? My SO has been a carpenter for the last 20 years and will work both union and non union. He prefers residential construction and has worked as a superintendent in that field, but also has commercial construction experience. Is there any area that is currently growing despite the downturn in the economy? Going thru these boards it looks like the Tri-city area has a little more to offer, but we are open to any and all suggestions. I have alot of office management experience so generally can find a job anywhere, but as he is the main breadwinner, it's important to us that we be able to support our family.

Any ideas on where is the best area for what we are looking for? Any help and/or info is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance!
