If anyone has direct firsthand experience getting a teaching certificate post NCLB, would you let us know what criteria they use? Here in Arizona, the rules are constantly being tightened to eliminate virtually any brush with the law as grounds for yanking credentials. Thousands of students have been affected as hundreds of experienced qualified teachers are being suspended while the state sorts through its backlog. People who had traffic tickets in 1974 are being harassed out of their jobs. Is Washington just as bad? Or are they only looking out for pedophiles and leaving people guilty of nothing beyond being an ex-hippie alone? We need solid information before planning a move out of arizona. Thank you. Feel free to reply direct off forum to me. thomash85715@yahoo.com --Tom H
