Hi,

We're visiting WA this weekend.

Going to be in the Yelm, Rochester, Eatonville, Olympia and Chehalis areas.

What clothes and footwear should we have? We're coming from a warm dry climate, Southern California.

Thanks,

Pat

You actually might have decent timing, we could have snow and freezing this time of year, but the coming weekend forecast is for mid 30s to high 40s with some rain, 40% chance. If you will be hiking in the woods bring good waterproof boots and extra socks for the mud, but for sure a waterproof jacket with hood. Most of us never use umbrellas here.

rain-gear (especially shoes and jacket)
Intellicast - Eatonville Weather Report in Washington (98328)

Borrow some long underwear (Tops and Bottoms), It is quite helpful to a better PNW winter 'experience'. Most folks have a few extra pair. Polyprops are the best ~ $20

Go here while you are close-by, very nice. (and FREE)
