Hi! i'm an italian girl, 25 years old. i'm graduated and i know several languages: english, french, german, arabc, some chinese and of course italian.
Nowadays it's getting nora than hard find a job in Italy, so i was thinking about moving to USA. And i was thinking about northwest coast of WA. Whi this choice? This are the things i love: live in wide opened spaces, woods, ocean beaches, i'm not afraid of snowy winters, i love them, but i like summer sports: kite surfing and diving. other hobbies of mine are outdoor and i'm a voluteer in Rome in Italy in an animal protection organisation. so i guess this area is the right one for me to live in. and since i'm still looking for a job, maybe a could choose a place i like.
Do you think is there any possibility to find a job for someone like me there?
PLease give me some advice!
Thank you so much!

I'm not sure what animal protection organization entails.

You have an edge knowing all those foreign languages. As long as you get a Visa, you could work as a translator here. Outlook for translator jobs is high and is going to increase in the next few years. Urban areas like DC, NYC, cities in California are the ones that will provide the most employment opportunities.

Companies like Boeing and Microsoft with international sales always need employees with multiple languages.

This is what I can offer. You can give this link a try. I hope it works for you:Bilingual Jobs in Seattle, Washington, on BilingualCrossing

And the Seattle area is a good place for those who like outdoor activities. Alot of camping, mountain climbing, biking. There is Puget Sound and some beaches in the Seattle area. The thing is the water is a bit cold. I don't know how it would work for kite surfing, but if you are willing to deal with cold water, you can give kite surfing a try. There are plenty of mountains nearby. Seattle sounds like a place you might like. I used to live near Seattle(Everett specfically). I liked it and it is among a few places I would like to live in one day.

If you wanted to live in the cities (Tacoma, Portland, Seattle, Olympia) there's bound to be lots of jobs which require or desire multilingual people such as yourself. In fact, the US government needs people who know Arabic for ... national security and relations. You could even get a clearance with the defense department if your background checks out.

If you wanted to live along the coast, or very near it, your options will be more limited, but not severely so. In fact, in the Seattle area, you could live on an island in Puget Sound and take a ferry to the city ... if you work there.

An interesting fact is, in the Puget Sound area, the winters are very mild ... last year in Seattle, we had almost no snow at all! But it is very gloomy and cloudy most of the winter. Summers, however, are AWESOME, sunny, and warm.

Seattle was named one of the top 10 cities for the coming decade. I don't know how true this is, but I liked it when I lived in the area as a child.

One other thing I've forgotten ... the national association of kite surfing and wind surfing is in Stevenson, WA, along the Colombia river gorge. it's perfect too ... average summer winds in that town are around 25 mph.
