Satellite Reception problems in Thurston County?

A friend has been trying for several months to get Satellite service... cable is not available in his area of the county.

What Satellite TV providers serve Thurston County and is one better than another?

The area is heavily wooded and one provider said to call them back after 5 heritage trees were removed a severely topped.

Blue Sky High Speed Satellite service had no difficulty providing service...

For me, DirecTV has been much better than Dish. I never lost a signal even with 14" of snow piled on the receiver. Heavily wooded areas are a challenge for any provider, but rather than cutting trees could they mount the receiver on a tall post like we use for area lighting and run cable to the house? I would check with an installer about the cost of non-standard installation. I used to have Hughesnet for internet and it was horrible, verizon wifi has been great.
