Originally tried for Port Angeles, but it was such a hotbed of rentals that it was near impossible to find a place so in the meantime ended up here.

Did you find a job in Forks? I'm sincerely curious, because unless you're an RN, work in Forks is nonexistent, unless you're a longtime local. Or, are you commuting to PA?

No jobs in Forks unless you know someone or are willing to work part time or fill in. I was lucky to find something seasonal at least on the lake, but have to start hustling to try and find something after season...that's the real challenge. Pretty much the whole western peninsula basically slows down in winter.

Another thing is be very careful who you p*ss off in this small town because it could just be one person but gossip spreads like a cancer here and your name could be mud in no time...
Too bad sheeple thinking is prevalent here and no one bases their opinion on their own. High school mentality basically.

How can it not, what is the population of Forks? Driving through it looks like less than 300 people live there.

The town really does look like a town of about 500 people when you drive through. Not much there - when we lived there there was one grocery store and a small handful of restaurants. Three Rivers Resort on the Quilleute River had a mean elk/beef burger though, oh that burger was good!

We were there last month and it doesn't have much more than that still, a gas station a couple of motels trying to promote Twilight...
