96 Degrees Fahrenheit in August and September and 4 Degrees above zero Fahrenheit in January of this year so far in Indianapolis, Indiana

Highest: 39.0c/102.2F on the 8th of August
Lowest: -9.8c/14.4F on the 26th of January

Both temperatures are higher than usual. We don't usually get above 100F two years in a row, and we usually get below -10c at least once a year (we still have December though).

how many 30C days do you get on average per year?

About 4-6 days each year, 35°C+ days not so often maybe every few years on average.
However since i started recording my own weather data i had at least one 35°C+ day in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013.

Our official weather station which is 4 km away from my site and at the sea shore, still had a high of 34.2°C this year and 34.7°C in 2012 when i had recorded a high of 36.4°C.

A 30 degree day used to be a rare event which we get every few years until about 1990, but since then it occurs basically every year and it often reaches 33-35°C as the absolute maximum in a year.
