Comment:
The first half of February was a cold, icy cloudy unsettled mess. The second half was dominated by easterly winds which brought a lot of anticyclonic gloom but a few sunny days, and was dry.

First month since December 2010 to not exceed 10C. Highest minimum was 3.6C - unusually low.
In UK terms, 6/10, not too bad really, plenty of sunny days with overnight frost. But, as much as I enjoyed those very sunny days with large diurnal ranges, the 'cold spell' was more of a cool spell with little variation in temperatures and no snow to speak of, with a stagnant blanket of cloud and very high pressure yielding 'nothingness' weather. There was a decent fall of 8 cm earlier on in the month though, which lasted (barely) into the next day before being washed away by rain, and a smaller 'dusting' the day before which didn't hang around for long.

I love how this january and february have been both colder than last years!!! And slightly below average! Its definetely a change from that aboveaverageland that was the whole last year!
we ve had a very nice second half of february, saving few exceptions, so im guessing the first half was kinda bad, hence why the result is almost average feb.

wow, thats a very hot february you have there!!!! and almost 3c above average, yuck!
Well, since its february what we are talking about, and knowing what to expect (virtually the worst month of the year), and having the last february as an example (who was awfully humid and hot and uncomfortable), im gonna make an exception and rate this february with a 6! I say exception cause theres no way in mi mind that any month between november/march could get a rating above 4! And in all honest, this february compared to, say June or July, would get a rating of 3. But when i compared it to last february and to what i was expecting, it gets a 6.
Last part of february was a relief! We had very lovely days like the last couple of ones, in where days were around 22/24c and we even had nights with temps around 17/18c! How cool is that? That takes up the rating up to a 6!
