I'm homeless, not for lack of money but don't know where I want to live. I tried Oklahoma City, Boise, Spokane which is so pretty, and many other places and now my ex-wife is putting me up in AZ where it is really hot. I love storms, rain and lots of wind. I go to the VA because I'm 63 and need to be close but I am truly lost. I have no friends or family so it's hard for me to adjust. Maybe Amarillo might work?

Amarillo is good. You will find storms and wind there from time to time. It is cooler than much of Texas the climate is dry. It does get quite a bit of snowfall (for a southern city.) But if you like cold, but not too cold in the winter, a dry climate etc, don't mind fairly hot summers, Amarillo would be good. My hometown, Lubbock, which is just south of there is similar with a little less snow.

If you love rain, storms and lots of wind, then coastal Washington and Oregon might be your best bet as during the winter season, there is lots of that Otherwise, since you are already in Arizona, you might try Flagstaff as it's much cooler than the rest of the state and I imagine fairly windy too since it's in a mountainous area. The only thing is they do get a lot of snowfall from what I hear.
