At the NWS station in north Corvallis (Oregon) we finished November at 45.15 degrees, a whopping 0.35 degrees below average. A pretty standard month temperature-wise, but dreary with 22 out of 30 days having measurable precipitation.

The first two days of this month are running 4.65 degrees above the 30 year mean but that ain't gonna last. We'll see temps drop significantly below average before this season plays out. Won't be record cold, I don't think but at least as far as the U.S and Canadian west coast is concerned, this winter will be a one to remember.

'Below average', hehe. Nowhere in the UK has ever recorded more than 2237 hours of sunshine in a year. Do you know what your record lowest is?
