That's because few of our English friends think that they want 3 meters of snow every year.

What does that mean?

It means exactly what you think it does. You are one of them who want massive amounts of snow every year.

Hey leave my snowfall totals alone they are less insane than Western Japan's snowfall totals.
Anyway my ideal winter has many thaws.

Massive amounts of snow per year are great . Besides, 3 meters of snow translates to 118 inches; that's not only common worldwide, but it's also the norm if you want a genuinely snowy climate. It's not a crushing or insane amount - just enough to ensure that there's plenty of snow to fall and settle all winter . I myself prefer around 200-250 inches .

Here's the latest dream climatic averages for the entire board. Of course it's subject to change if data is corrected, changed, and added. Instead of just using precipitation amounts, I attempted to convert some monthly amounts into a separate rainfall category. This was only necessary for climates that had snow in the winter. I subtracted the difference or simply assumed some climates average zero inches of rain during the winter. I used the rain:snow ratio of 1:10 (1 inch of rain equals 10 inches of snow). Chances are there are errors since I had to do a lot of conversions and guesstimates. Also, I may have forgotten to include some dream climates, so let me know and I'll incorporate it. Included are: Weatherfan2, dunno, evan, plondon, nei, nivalis, ben86, rozenn, deneb, candle, galaxyman, ariete, sophie, PM, B87, chesternz, morning rise, sulkiercupid, dhdh, euclidean, dxnerd, and myself.

As I expected, I ran into issues with the rainfall and snowfall averages. Some of the snowfall averages for most or at least some of the months seems implausible. For example, June averaged 0.07 in of snow despite a mean monthly temperature of 68 F/20 C. It was still interesting to discover that the average annual snowfall amounted to nearly 70 inches/178 cm. But the climate is simply too warm for all this snow. This is not to say it should be a snowless climate. December, January, and February could certainly support some snow, but I don't know how to come up with a realistic accurate average. I could just calculate average 'precipitation' like dhdh and PM, but I feel it didn't tell the whole story. But I'll probably end up scrapping the rainfall and snowfall totals and replace them with precipitation. Also, should an average of the record highs and lows be included?

Month/Avg. High/Avg. Low/Rainfall/Snowfall/Sunshine

January/43/28/1.57/17.11/144.71
