I'd have to go with the sub-antarctic islands. I would miss the snow (although maybe it mixes in from time to time?), but the windy, cloudy, cool, wet weather is too good to pass up!
The sub-antarctic islands are milder, so that would be my choice if I had to choose. Not willing to take the long cold winters which the slight summers of the subarctic can hardly make up for.
Still quite continental, geographically speaking,
yet that part of the continent must have a stronger maritime influence extending deep inland.
As meyself and another poster discussed in the other thread, it is amazing to have a place like Schefferville that is as cold as it is, yet gets 175 inches of snow per year. Pretty rare as most places like that are too dry to get than much precip.
