I accept the cold and snow from the week of Thanksgiving to the week of St. Patrick's Day, a sixteen week period. From the week of Thanksgiving to the week of St. Patrick's Day, as long as the wind chills are above 0 F/-18 C, I have no problems. Before Thanksgiving and after St. Patrick's Day, I like my weather to be cool (highs in the 40s, lows in the low to mid 30s).
Revisiting this thread - I still enjoy winter, cold and snow!
But here it is, almost April in Michigan, and the high today was 30. There's snow and ice everywhere. I did take my dogs for a very, very nice walk in the woods this afternoon but honestly? I am over the cold, the ice, the snow, scraping my windshield every morning, trying to chip frozen dog turds out of my yard, bundling up before leaving the house....
Yep, I feel the same way! I don't mind winter, but enough already, I am ready for normal temps.
Took a walk to the lakefront, when I turned north to come back, ohhhhh, boy was it cold! Wind in my face, 27°F, wind chill probably 20 (maybe)! This is unusual weather, we should be in 40's!
Agreed. Blazing sunshine, high humidity, unbearable heat, and suffocating air might as well equal death. Sunburn is just the icing on the cake. Nothing worse than being ill during the summer and having no fresh air to alleviate any discomfort. I feel quite lethargic during the summer.
Cold, dark, gloomy = refreshing, invigorating, comfortable, no bugs, able to breath, etc.

I WANT SPRING!!!!!!
Am I the only one who is enjoying this short extension of winter?
I'm loving it. Highs in the 30s, snow still on the ground, etc. Looking forward to more of the same tomorrow.
Looks like this week will return closer to average with highs around 50 F, which isn't bad either.
I can enjoy a couple of good, pretty, snow storms, but in NE Ohio, where I used to live, there were a few good pretty snow storms followed by 3 months of gray, cloudy, ugly and cold months which did nothing but depress me.
Now that I am in sunny GA, I do not miss the winter at all. It is not that I care about the cold, or the snow, it's that I need the sun to shine, or I hate it.
Star Magnolias and tulip trees are in bloom, daffodils, hyacynth, and cherry too; and yes, we have snow.
