Yep, I remember that lol. It's like they switched! March had a mean of like 67-68 F that year, which is like a typical January.

Well it looks to me like it is a struggle to keep a CIDP alive even in Charleston, SC.

March 2015. CIDP look far better in London and the south of England than they do in Charleston, SC. That is saying something.

They would die in a few years most likely after another 2014 winter. The 20 years of mild winters ended in 2014 and won't be back for many more years. I'm convinced winters are only going to get colder and colder in the east moving forward. There won't be any more super El Nino's to protect us for years to come. That is the only thing that saved us this year. Meanwhile London will just keep getting milder.

But London winters will always be far gloomier with little sunshine and very short daylight hours with no chance of winter warmth while D.C has hit 80F in winter.

Washington DC temps this month

May 1st to today (18th) only 2 days had an above normal max temp. 3 were seasonable. 13 below normal. Clouds and also rain involved. 3rd coldest for the period since 1942. In other words, only 2 other years had a colder 18 days of May

In the 70s only 5 times. Low temp dipped to 40s twice.

I saw a healthy windmill palm in Stuttgart far from the city center. Dulles got a bit colder than Echterdingen in recent years, though February 2012 was still pretty cold in Germany. I'm sure windmill palms would do ok in the front of the White House if they're protected in their early years.

Avg Temp in DC so far is 59.4°. It's the 3rd coldest May on record. On Pace to be within Top 5 with 13 days left.

Last year was the warmest...

and before everyone screams you know what... I see 1880 was one of the warmest then 1882 was the coldest... Ups and downs always happens. Question is...when will be the next up for them.
