Okay, but what's the purpose of this thread? Their climates are virtually identical, what will your result prove? Anyway, I'm going to vote for Severo-Kurilsk for not having a polar night

This is hard as hell to choose, I guess Tromso for the very slightly warmer summers.
I'm not attacking anyone, just wondering what will this thread prove once you get the results.
I guess I made this thread because the very hot vs very cold climate threads have become too predictable as you more or less know who is going to vote for what. By having the climates so close together, it makes it less predictable and more interesting
Severo-Kurilsk because it clearly looks like it gets a lot more snow.
This region of the world (i.e, Hokkaido and Sakhalin Oblast) is infamous for its snow totals if I'm not mistaken. SK gets even more winter precip than Sapporo and Aomori, so I really wonder what the snow totals are.

I like comparing similar climates as hot vs. cold and oceanic vs. continental have been overdone to death on this forum.
and no, alex, the majority of my polls are NOT about Southern California; I think I've involved your Miami in more of my climate battles than my own nearby L.A and battled it against other warm/tropical climates.
And getting back to the OP, although both both choices are F- climates, I pick Tromsø for 1. Slightly warmer "summers" and 2. less snowfall totals.

The precip totals and sun hours are different.
Can't believe I missed that. I retract my vote for Tromso then.
