Should of added a poll, click thread tools at the top of the post and add a poll.

In this case I am going to say Winnipeg, as it has five months where I will actually feel 'warm'. The average highs in Vardo are just too cool to allow me to be comfortable and feel warm when outside. This year it was warmer in Vardo, but that was only a few weeks and temps only reached around 24C anyway.

Isn't this a repeat of the Buxton/Winnipeg thread?

Anyway, Winnipeg it is. The average annual temperature is higher.

I don't get these "which is warmer" threads as you can already see the 'answer' on the Wiki tables.

And you pretty much answered your own question:

"Winnipeg has alot colder winters, but also warmer summers. Vardø has warmer winters but alot colder summers."

Winnipeg is obviously warmer, as it has warmer annual mean and much warmer summers.

Vardø is the coldest coastal town in Norway, and certainly has the coldest summers (except for Longyearbyen). Vardø is on an island in the Barents Sea.

A more difficult choice would be to pick the warmest of Winnipeg and Vestvågøy

Winnipeg. MUCH warmer summers and winters that aren't significantly colder.

it's a shame there isn't any climate normal for båtsfjord yet. that village probably has a lower annual mean than vardo.
