Despite the fact that you've been there, I'm surprised you voted for Torshavn. I know you like defined 4 season climates with large variation in temperature. Torshavn seems to have only one season - cold spring (or winter to some)

Yellowknife, if only for the fact that it gets -40 and below year in, year out, which is something I'd love to experience. Torshavn would get lots more snow, but there are plenty of other places which fit that bill (and with more daylight in winter).

Yellowknife. Torshavn has no winter and no summer, and would be dreary and icky all year. I do like dreary and icky sometimes, but not all year. Yellowknife gets good winter snow and the 70F highs in summer often feel more like 80 due to the high latitude.

Yellowknife by far. Torshavn is like an eternal warmer than average November here, the worst possible weather.

I choose Yellowknife because of the variations, Torshavn would be hell on earth for me!

Both F- climates. I chose Tórshavn due to a warmer average temperature and better scenery. It's also closer to Europe and the warmer climates there.

I can't vote on this one because I've never experienced extreme winter cold before. I know I'd get depressed in Torvshavn due to lack of sunshine and coolish summers. I'd need the experience of a few days in the -20 to -40 F range in order to make a vote. I live in a climate where the coldest night of the year is around 30 F so I have no frame of reference to vote on this one..

Coldest I've felt was around 15 F and it was just fine when bundled up but I have literally no idea how I'd feel about -40 F and whether or not the trade off for temps that cold in exchange for pleasant, sunny, warm summers is worth it.

Yellowknife

It has surprisingly good summers, some summer days even over 80F.

Torshavn- I would miss the warm summers and sunshine but the winter temperatures in Yellowknife sound way too brutal IMO...
