Let's say a White Christmas (snow falling or on the ground or subfreezing temperatures) was NOT an option for you but you could have any of the following 6 choices on Christmas Day; which would you pick? I know some of you hate cold and snow anyway so one of these will be your first choice but I also want the cold/snow lovers to vote too.

A) If I can't have snow, I might as well have tropical warmth. A high of 86 F/30C and a low of 70F/21C and mostly sunny skies with a few puffy clouds and dewpoints around 70 F/21C throughout the day.

B) If I can't have snow, I prefer cold rain all day. A high of 50 F/10 C and a low of 39 F/ 4 C and steady rain falling all day.

C) If I can't have snow or subfreezing temperatures, I prefer a sunny cool day with a high of 50 F/10 C and a low of 37 F/ 3 C.

D) If I can't have snow, I prefer mild to warm and sunny day with a cool night. Clear skies with a high of 70 F/21 C and a low of 46 F/8 C.

E) If I can't have snow, I prefer a crazy diurnal range with a hot day and cold night, clear skies with bone dry humidity. A high of 90F/32 C and a low of 36 F/2 C and dewpoints at around 0 F/-18 C throughout the day.

F) If I can't have snow, I want warm tropical rain and a thunderstorm. A high of 81 F/27 C and a low of 70F/21C. Day starts off with sunny skies and things get progressively cloudier after 11AM and the thunderstorms start at around 2PM and then just steady warm rain falling all afternoon through the night.

F, because that's what was here last Christmas day (except even warmer) and it was great.

B, C, and D are all real possibilities where I live. I've experienced large diurnal ranges in winter before (but not as quite as large as E) so E is also not of interest to me.

I'd choose F or A because both are not possible (even in summer) where I live which would mean I'm on vacation either in the tropics or in the Southern Hemisphere. Maybe the Caribbean or Australia?

I would choose C then, a mild (10°C in December is mild here) sunny day would be my option if i can't get a snowy christmas.

We will have most probably option B tomorrow, 10°C rain all day with high winds.

With a low of 4C and a high of 10C, I can't imagine there would be much snow on your mountain, unless you moved.

My choice is Z: Below freezing with a threat of snow, but no snow. But honestly I would prefer about 2 inches of snow.

B, since if I can't have snow a cold rain is the next best thing.
