Grew up there and live in the deep South now. Spring can be cold, but summer and early Fall are normally pleasant. It DOES snow, but not nearly as much as in cities closer to the Great Lakes (e.g. Cleveland, Buffalo, or even Erie). Can be cloudy and drizzly, but not nearly as many severe thunderstorms as where I live now. Winter where I am now is great, but in the Summer (frequent days of 95-100 degrees) I'm in an air conditioned building or car.
