Snow isn't that rare in Paris is it? Its further inland and slightly colder than London in winter. I understood why certain cities in Western Europe are so dry.

Rare as in 1 every 2 or 3 years (light dusting) London snow must be non existant - it hasn't snowed here for 5 years (Other than a 30 minute flurry which i missed while i was flossing my teeth ) - coming up for 4.3 years here ,so London heaven knows ?

Snow stops somewhere East of around Cambridge/BSE - and might hit mid Kent and Berks ? ,Wilts .... higher up , the Downs /Chilterns will get hit ...coastal areas forget it !

I remember before the run of mild winters we've been having (before 2014) we'd get a good 5cm of snow each year during a coldwave. It would always be more than a dusting. Before 2014 I've only remember 1 winter without snow (I think that was 2006?) and another winter with just a dusting which was the cold month of December 2010.

Yes,March 2013 was the last proper snowfall - it lasted around 3 days from memory .

You're correct . every year at some point there was a day of snow - sometimes 3 or 4 days of snow .

Years without snow were very unusual here - although snow in south Devon was still unusual along that coastline .

Recent winters have certainly changed - even in Germany ,Poland,Sweden etc they are getting crazy mild winter temperatures - it's all going a bit weird

I vividly remember that March, and you're right, there hasn't been significant snowfall since. Although I think 2013 may have part of a period when we were seeing above average snowfall?

2013 was a very snowy year here, possibly the snowiest I can remember. January started off mild but after around the 14th we had very frequent snowfalls until the end of March.

Yeah definitely its very strange I never thought it to be possible for more than one winter in a row to be snowless here in London. Mind you, it did snow a couple of times here but it didn't settle on the ground and it was a non-event not newsworthy at all.

The last proper snow fall here was in March 2013

I miss proper snow
