You would like a winter like Minneapolis has. Some snow yet fairly sunny most of the time. I had cousins there and used to be amazed when we visited them in the winter because the sun was always out, lol.

Coming from Syracuse, I was under the impression back then that you didn't the sun from late October until mid-April
At least in the US alone, Denver has my favourite winter weather. Still too cloudy for me in Minneapolis.

Favorite is that we get a lot of rain, so everything is green all year.
Second is that it stays below about 85 in the hottest part of the summer.

Worst is the freezing fog that we get sometimes in winter, dangerous to drive on.

Favorite: Uh this is difficult, but it is sunny most summers. You do get some cool days in the winter too.

Least favorite: BUGS! A climate like this has lots of them and the insect season some years can last nearly the entire year. Winters not really cold at all and snow accumulations happen every 20 years or so. The humidity levels here are sort of high and the worst summers can see temps above 100F/38C for more than a hand full of days with dewpoints above 65F to even above 70F! Also, some thunderstorms are too wild as I am not a fan of thunder at all.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention perhaps my least favorite aspect of this climate. The way too warm summer nights. Way too warm!

North America needs an E-W mountain range across the Great Plains to block cold fronts.

Favorite

- Fall stability and colours
- Some good t-storms from time to time
- I dislike the summer overall, but at least it have a lot of swimming pool days
- Overall is a decent climate for human development

Least favorite

- High humidity prevalence troughout the year
- Too windy
- Absurdly long warm season
- Pseudo winters where you should pray for a decent cold shot and very often it's just dull and overcast for nothing (no snow)
- Volatile springs

You have a very similar weather taste to me in dislikes, well said. For as someone who thought previously lived in North Carolina was already bad enough, I can't imagine how worse there in Texas. Do you prefer an overall cool climate year-round without no extreme cold?

I would like to live in a place that has cold and snowy winters. The summer can be warm to even hot during the day, but I would like to have low summers lows though. Although I would easily live in a place that is cool year round without getting too cold at all.

I wouldn't mind this

nor a place like this

I wouldn't even mind this actually even though the winters are not snowy at all but the temps are great year round

Nice to find someone who appreciates cold and snowy winters

South Lake Tahoe & Denver seem like decent climates, just kind of dry.

If I had to pick a climate that didn't get snow, Eureka seems pleasant enough.

I love where I am but I am kind of partial to the Snow Belt cities like Syracuse, Buffalo, etc.

I would love to live here:

There's absolutely nothing that I dislike about the climate.
