Eww... sorry to hear that! Unless you are in the presence of some extremely attractive people or you are making a lot of $$$, it sounds like its time for you to get out of there.

Won't be long... summer's well finished here now, temperatures are only reaching the low-mid 50's by day here.

Temperatures expected to dip to 4c/39f here in the next week, with day time high today expected to be 13c (55f)

This summer has been average here, rainfall low though, the ground is actually quite dry here and only recently my front lawn has begun to grow green again..

If I could I'd move to Sweden where summers are pleasant and winters cold.. unfortunately most people don't and can't move just because of the weather.

Much colder and wetter than average here. No warm days in July at all (warmest was 22 degrees, room temperature) and only 2 warm days in June. So 2 warm days all summer, loads of rain, now on the 20th rain day for August, and very dull in August as well, and about 1 degree C below average in temperature.

I can categorically say it's the worst summer I've lived through in my life, and the fact it will be the coldest since 1988 bears that out.

Nice, hot summer in Denver, Colorado this year! June started off cool, but ended about .5 degrees above normal (68.2F). July was several degrees above normal (75.9F) and we tied our second longest streak of consecutive days above 90F at 18 (July 15 - August 1). August is currently the hottest on record (76.8F). So far this summer, as of today, we've had 47 days above 90F and have a streak of about 4 more coming over the next week before things cool off a bit. We've also broken a record for the most consecutive high temperatures above 80F at a current 69 (June 22 to present). The old record was 59. 80s and 90s are in store for the next 7 days, so we should be approaching 80 consecutive days above 80F by the end of Labor Day weekend. No daily temperature records were set or tied during June or July, but August has tallied 5 daily records so far (4 high-maximums and 1 high-minimum).

Pretty remarkable for a city with such unpredictable weather!

Quick update. August in Denver this year was the hottest on record at 77.0F - average high 92.7F and average low 61.3F - and was also the 6th hottest month ever in Denver weather history (the 5 hottest ranged from 77.1F to 77.8F and were all in July). The final two days of this month tallied 93/64 (30th) and 98/64 (31st). Today's 98F tied the record high for the date, bringing to 6 the total number of records for the month. We've now had 49 days above 90F this summer and 71 consecutive days above 80F.

Going into September, we may tie or set a new record high tomorrow (the 1st) - the record is 97F and the forecast calls for 97F. We'll see!

^Hot times for Denver. I guess it's been affected by that high that's been baking the Southern Plains?

Here, it's nasty and Southern-like (in a normal summer, anyway) today and tomorrow with highs of 90°F and 93°F respectively. However, it looks like summer will hopefully be gone for good on Labor Day, with the high probably not reaching 20°C. I can't wait!

Yeah it looks like the first cool daytime weather of the season is coming. Forecasted highs here barely reach 70 F early next week.

Edit: Perhaps I spoke too soon. Lowest forecasted high is 74 F, but that could still change.

Denver didn't break the record, but they were one degree shy of tying it. NOW, it cools off!!
Highs in the 70s for the weekend and lows in the low 50s. Sounds nice!

After a long, hot summer, it looks like much of the south, especially Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana are getting a reprieve from the heat. Lows down into the 60s in Houston and Dallas, 50s in Oklahoma City, Little Rock, and Shreveport.
