What songs most remind you of summer? You know.....long hazy hot and humid days and muggy nights sometimes broken by a severe t-storm!!

As for myself, no doubt its the song by Bryan Adams "Summer of 69"

Reminds me of driving through Texas or somewhere in the Southern US on a road trip with a good bunch of friends in the dog days of summer with temps in the mid 90's and dew-points around 70---basically REAL summer weather!

Is it just me or does this song also remind you of those weather conditions?

Surfin' USA, or "Floyd" by Lynyrd skynyrd. The intro to "Floyd" reminds me of driving through the desert with tumbleweed blowing and heat mirages on the road.

'Summer of 69' doesn't actually remind me of summer at all but of drunk nights out my first year at university, as in my experience at least it seems an unwritten law that every student bar in this country has to play that song at least once towards the end of every single night, lol. "Boys of Summer" by Don Henley does the trick for me, though I seem to remember that the summers I grew up with weren't quite mid-90s F with DP of 70 degrees

If you ask most English people over a certain age to think of a song which they associate with summer it would definitely be this one, which I've personally heard too many times (virtually every time a TV show or advert alludes to summer in any way):

^Agreed. I really don't care to hear that one ever again.

Here's another one:

Anything by Janis Joplin. It always reminds me of the year I left high school, and my first proper job, hoeing (weeding) tobacco. The old hippy I worked with supplied all the music via his boombox mounted on a nearby tractor. He played a big range of music, but Joplin singing Gershwins "Summertime" is the one that most makes me thing of summer. Long hot days in dusty fields, with a quick dip in the creek during breaks and a cold beer or two when we finished for the day. The good old days.

"Summer of 69" reminds me of living in Aussie, in a deadbeat ( no names so as not to cause offense) town in the middle of nowhere, doing nothing in particular.

Summer in the City by Lovin' Spoonful.
Reminds me most of my youthful, single days in the city.
