Very low D-, possibly even F+. The change of seasons saves it from an absolute F---, but that darn humidity, as well as such high overnight lows in the summer, keep it from getting any better grade. I couldn't stand Missouri when I was there at all because of that humid heat!!! I suppose it is something you might get used to given long enough, but still, give me a dry climate, with similar (or probably slightly lower) highs, lower summer minimums, and we'll be all set!
C+ / B-. Though my rating is almost similar to the one I gave my home city, the properly cold winters (with snow and all included) of KC make it more interesting. However, the torrid summers keep it from getting any higher rating.
From another standpoint, I would give KC climate a solid A, because it has all the seasons in one climate and its latitude is not very high. That is, from the point of view of interesting study cases. But of course, having to live there and having to endure the summer is quite another thing, and that's why my rating is C+/B-.
D. It does have a nice warm summer though it is short...
