Going-to-the-Sun Road in Montana officially is open today for vehicle traffic for the summer. Its the latest opening ever. Elevation 6700 feet.

But here's a Photo comparison of the Hidden Lake Overlook Trail from yesterday compared to July of last year. The trail is an all snow hike still. Thanks to Glacier Park Facebook Fan page for yesterdays pic.

Wow, and it actually looks warmer in the '11 photo than the '06 one with the sunshine! What sort of afternoon temps would that place generally get this time of year then?
