It was in the low 50s this morning near the KC metro.
Highs today were near 90.
Now it is already back into the 60s as of 10PM.
The humidity levels are very low, and it feels quite dry outside.
This August has been terrible in terms of heat and humidity, though.

I'm not in menopause yet, and I still can't take the heat! I went to visit a friend today, and just got back half an hour ago. It is SO hot in my apartment... And that's in the living room with the air on! However, in the rest of the apartment it's much worse. It has to be 100 degrees in there, easily!

Long Beach is usually nice; luckily there are only three or four days a year when it's as bad as this.

The weather out in Southern California is unbelievable. I have to believe it's because of the drought that the temps are so high. I hope it ends for you soon. It's only supposed to be 85 in the DFW area today, with rain through the end of the week. It looks like Fall will sneak into the DFW area just a tad early this year.

I'm on the Central Coast of California and today it was 98 degrees. Just three days ago the weather was 110 degrees....hot, hot, hot. We are now seeing more and more smoke from the fires, although there are no fires in our area.

The forecast tommorrow near the KC metro is for highs in the 80s with rain chances.
Some of the farms and grasslands out in the rural areas look desert-like. We are desperate for rain just like many other areas of the US.
