what do you expect? it's Baghdad, a paradise for the heat lovers on this forum. It's strange that the tradition of covering the whole body, leaving only the eyes exposed was invented in the Islamic culture, considering how extremely hot their native climates are. People living in these places should just be naked all the time to allow some insulation and some air circulation into their body. seriously, it's HOT.
Wow. It's seriously impressive how they can go all through daylight hours without drinking anything during Ramadan in that heat, day after day. Can't be good for you, though.

I think the full-body dress actually has a cooling effect. It's counter-intuitive, but the hot air rises up their gowns thus creating a cooling breeze whilst also providing shade.
