Snow is so great! Too bad we don't get enough of it in the Mid-Atlantic.

To think, if I travel 150 miles to the NNW, I'll be looking at daily bouts of 1-2" snowfalls, not to mention a good blizzard now and again.

Sigh. Too bad jobs are few and far between up there, in Upstate New York.

We are having a huge snow thunderstorm in Kansas. The thunder quit earlier today, but it has been snowing since the early morning hours. We have several inches on the ground at this time. It is getting dark here now and I don't do well with nighttime pictures. I will try to take some pictures in the morning. I want to express my appreciation to Tarastomsgirl for allowing me to use her photographs to prompt and illustrate my poems. I am really fascinated with the winter pictures in this forum. Great work all.

Took a ride, I'm a volunteer for Bethe Search and Rescue. We flew up the Kuskokwim River to to an open hole survey. Heres some shots from today. It was low overcast so the pics were on the dark side.
