Suppose to warm up again after ex-Katia has passed.
I don't think so... it's looking decidedly chilly across the model outputs out to mid-month, certainly in my area no maxes above 13°C, which is more like October, and below average for mid-September.
Not even bloody close, still only 16 degrees at 11:10am, WTF is wrong with this place.

Are you not moving down south soon then? Just got to 20C here, dark clouds starting to lighten a bit, should be 23-24 later on

Remains of hurricanes tend to bring up warmer, muggier air to the UK. After this system has passed, it should at least feel warmer and more humid for the first few days.
Reached 21C here today by the way! Maybe you should try moving north.

Well, it doesn't really work like that, I'm afraid.
The passage of the low pressure will be fairly brief, and while some mild air will be pulled up ahead of the cold front, that will quickly push through leaving the UK in a NW'rly Polar Maritime airflow as is already being indicated by the major models. The warm sector will be very brief and also very humid and damp, and windy. Not pleasant weather.
It reached a max of 19°C at Leeds and Bradford Official weather station today, same as Buxton. I could move to parts of Scotland and get warmer summers, compared to here though. I am moving to SE England too soon where it will be a nice deal warmer that where you live

I feel your pain and hope you get to a warmer area soon. Am at the beach this weekend and it's really nice. Ocean temp is around 74F and temps in the 80's. September here would still be considered summer in your neck of the woods:

Your typical September temperatures would have our tabloids screaming "HEATWAVE ALERT" here in the UK even in July.
Christchurch's forecast for next week looks absolutely foul. Cold, cloudy, windy and rainy. It looks like we won't be seeing nice weather again until the end of the month at the earliest.
