I give it an A. Summers are about perfect, and so are the Winters. The only problem with the Winters is that they're too long for my taste (but that's made up for by the idyllic summers), and they're not prone enough to bitter cold snaps (but with the records at near -30 F, I can deal with that). I love the very high snowfall, although the season is off-center with the beginning in October and ending in June. Precipitation is rather high, but still good, and I like the low sunshine figure.

Temperatures aren't that bad, although it could be a little warmer in April to October. Overall, temperatures alone would've earned this climate an A-

It's the rest that makes this climate worthy of a C- , bordering D; the combination of Minnesota winters, Anchorage summers and British precipitation, wind and sunshine patterns...

D. A terrible climate. I would find it hard to enjoy the cold summer, knowing that such a long and cold winter wasn't far off.

I know I've already commented in this thread, but since someone just dug this thread up again I thought I would reassert my hatred of this climate.

Possibly because temperatures only average above 50 for 2 months, not the more typical 3 months (for subarctic climates). The high precip and snowfall I imagine also hurts your rating. For myself, it's the opposite; the cooler summers and higher precipitation/snowfall make me love this place's weather.

This sums up exactly why I gave an A rating to this climate. Although I do feel warm when it is 60 F outside, I believe he meant it in a more 70 or 80 F sense, in which case I embrace the quote .
