It's garbage. This says nothing about the climate. Two climates are the same just because they have similar temperatures?

Koppen is just crap for the Iberian peninsula because it doesn't work accurately to classify most of our climates, especially those ones which border between marine west coast climates from the northwest and mediterranean inland climates from the centre.

Man, this is a total mess!
I counted 33 types and this is only considering temperatures. It's already very hard to follow and if we make further divisions for precipitation patterns and amount of rainfall (dry vs humid) we can end up with +100 types.

The trick for constructing a useful classification is trying to be as extensive as possible by listing the least possible amount of splittings.

Default Thumbs up!

I like this system. I'm not bothered by the large number of categories; it just serves to further break up the Köppen "C" group, which is just a dumping ground for climates that don't fit other criteria.

Our climate is Cda, but fairly close to Dba (Cdaf, maybe, if we were using Köppen's same criteria for rainfall?); my ideal climate is a solid A, no pun intended.

What I don't like is that the Köppen's doesn't distinguish between a regular tundra and an ocean moderated tundra which rarely gets below freezing, extremely different climates.
