F. The winter months are too warm, and they're the only remotely comfortable months. April through October is terrible, March and November are tolerable but too warm for that time of year, and January, February, and December are comfortable but are closer to what Fall and Spring should be. I guess I should say it's an F+ because at least there is some cool weather. Basically it's everything I hated about living in middle TN, only more.
This climate is on par, if not worse, then Las Vegas, due to the humidity in summer. I'll be generous and give it a D-, due to cooler winters. Otherwise I'd hate to live there.
The averages for April to October is fine, but I hate the rest of the year.
Looks like Birmingham in autumn, and I was cold most of the time there in late-Oct and early Nov.
B- is my initial rating.
Given that Mississippi is very tornado prone as well as exposed to rapid drops from Arctic air,
moreso than South Carolina since there's no mountains to protect, I'm de-rating it to C or C+.
I would still rate the immediate Gulf Coast areas of MS as "B" though.
January is a bit on the cool (not cold) side, but other wise a good climate 9 months of the year. July and August might be a little hot/humid, but not too tough for me to take. Just about no snow is nice, and sun hours would be high like much of the Gulf states.
Hell on earth, in my opinion. A brutally hot and soaking wet climate.
