How different is Montreal's climate compared to Toronto's? I assumed these were very similar as they were pretty close to each other. How different are they? Which climate is better? What are the main differences between Toronto and Montreal weather?

They are far enough apart that differences in weather are noticeable.
Toronto gets noticeably warmer winters with less snowcover and summers that last a bit longer and a bit more humid than Montreal...
Those are the main differences as far as I can tell..
From the looks of things, winter in Montreal is a good bit colder and a lot snowier. Early spring a bit warmer in Toronto before Montreal catches up and mid/late spring, which are about the same in both cities. Summer is about the same in both cities, but Toronto seems to be more prone to deviations from the norm as far as temperature is concerned. Overall, Montreal is wetter.

^ Lower extreme record lows in Toronto in summer was the biggest surprise for me.
