A nice thing about Nanchong is that the extreme low temperature is quite 'high'. During 1971-2000, the lowest record is -3.4 C, which is quite mild compared to similar places in east-coast Asia or east-coast north America.

Frost only occurs a few days of a year, and many species of palm tree can survive, if not thrive.
Yes, our winters are much colder. Last winter we reached -29°C. Perhaps I was being a bit harsh, but I like the warm half of the year here much better than yours. I won't rate my climate that high, anyhow.

Here's the climate of the station closest to me:

I rate it "Kinda crappy". Winters are a bit on the chilly side and there is just way too much gloom... Nanchong makes Vancouver look a sunshine destination with those sunshine stats

Another thing to mention: the city of Nanchong does not provide central heating in winter. Urban residents have to rely on air conditioners to keep warm, which is not very efficient and not affordable for some.
People in that area are incredibly cold resistant, and it is not uncommon for them to sleep in a room with 10 C (50 F) temperature or lower.

Not surprised. I spent a year in Shenzhen which is much warmer in the winter and even there, I found it too cold many mornings without heating

I would choose this climate over my current one.

Similar thoughts, but overall yearly means I have no problem with.
Rainfall and humidity is too high, esp given my preference for Mediterranean climates.
Still would have no problem living here, but unfortunately not bilingual.

I'm not a fan, sorry. Stifling summers, chilly winters and extremely low sunshine hours.

I'm always surprised at how cloudy Sichuan and the surrounding provinces are.

Anyway, I rate it a D, because it's comfortable temp-wise, but sooooooo gloomy.

The two months I would probably truly enjoy are July and August.

Edit : that would be the "kinda crappy" option

C: far too cloudy in winter, though I like the summer season. It would be B+ if you flipped the summer and winter cloudiness.

Oh, im sorry Bettafish, but this climate is horrible. Temperature wise is not that bad (and not to different from where i live) but its waaaaaaaaay too cloudy (i think i will be depressed after two months in a place that cloudy) and HUMID! I hate humidity and I certainly do not like gloomy weather, so that makes it a crappy climate for me.

I rate it a D, cause if this weather had double sunshine hours and less humidity, it could be a decent climate. But its not .

(ps: i chose "kinda crappy")
