2800-3000 would be fine for me. Like with KFC, I'd be totally happy with more though, and completely unsatisfied with lesss. While I like sunshine, I also like a bit of variety, I wouldn't mind the odd cloudy/overcast day, as long as it is an exception rather than rule.

I still remember 2003 with 2025 hrs of sunshine. I didn't like it....too much!
I also remenber 1988 with 1280 hrs.....too low!

My ideal total is about 1800 hrs a year.

I'm fine with 1000. We have 1300-1500. Jakarta has 3000.
So my limit is 1000-3500

Ok, so, we are humans and we have our own preferences, but It would be interesting to see what (if there) is the threshold for plants. Forests grow quite well even in places with 1200 hours of sunshine a year.

I thought I answered a thread similar to this just today...and I did say that 2,900 hours are enough.

I'm all for bumping threads, but why bump similar ones?

What are you talking about this time? I just said if there was a sun threshold for plants

1600-1700 doesn't seem that bad. I would say my ideal is around 2200 (with sunny summers and gloomy winters).
