Is there a place like that? Lets say, a 3500 sunshine hours a year place, but not crazy-hot like Phoenix, but template, with a range between 10 and 23 celsius??
Parts of South Africa in the high veldt exceed 3000 hours but are relatively sunniest in winter. Johannesburg fits the sunshine profile very nicely, though a little less summer rain might be desirable. I wouldn't want to live there though. Perth would still be very nice, even given the opposite sunshine distribution.
just checked Johannesburg weather, it is not that bad, but the weather seems too hot for that many sunshine hours (3130): Johannesburg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
I wouldnt mind to live in a place with that much sun if the weather its not too hot, that includes summer.
wow, thats awesome!! It must be quite a sensation to be flying a plane! Congrats!
It's pretty fun to say the least!!
Check out this video I took while on approach to land. We break out of the clouds at around 400 ft. Legally, we could have been in the fog until 200 ft before needing to be visual to land.

If you want over 3000 hours of sunshine, I think your chances of finding a place that is neither too hot nor too humid for you in summer are pretty limited.
Nothing better on a rainy and foggy day with 200 foot ceilings than hoping on a plane and not being able to see anything 30 seconds after takeoff and then using instruments only to navigate between 2 sharp cloud layers and then having the bright runway lights appear right in front of you 20 seconds before landing!!
I really don't like sunny days. It's sooooo boring when there is nothing in the atmosphere to enjoy flying in!!
You should fly over to Papua New Guinea if you want a challenge -- plane crash capital of the world!
> 3600 Might get boring at times, but still highly acceptable
3000-3600 Ideal
2800-3000 Excellent
2600-2800 Very Good
2400-2600 Good
2200-2400 Reasonable
2000-2200 Adequate
1800-2000 Below par
1600-1800 Poor
1400-1600 Very poor
1200-1400 Depressing
< 1200 Unliveable
Long runs of sunny days are always acceptable, especially if temperatures are not "too high".

Yes, the 3000+ club seems to be mainly limited to arid / semi-arid climates and some Mediterranean climates.
