Except that it's 36 minutes and it is way more in the summer, it's only because we'e at the solstice.

It isn't the solstice. And the difference in Sunset makes no difference whatsoever to how you go about your day. You now live somewhere that gets about half the rainfall you had in NI, plus in the summer when the days are long, it's much warmer and sunnier!

It is lol. On the solstice everyone has the same (or about) sunset times and equal day length.

There is a 36 minute difference between here and home because that is what the solar difference is.

What are you talking about? It isn't the solstice. Not for another three months anyway. You're clearly thinking of equinox ffs.
