If you were to visit Fairbanks, AK around this time of year and want sunsets after 6pm, the clock should be forward by 4 hours (AKA Eastern Time Zone). Yes, sunset would be after 6 pm (18:39 instead of 14:39), but, sun wouldn't rise until near 3pm (14:58), later than current sunset! It would be pretty dark at lunchtime (13:00) as opposed to daylight (around solar noon, 2 degrees above horizon).
